iPad picture elements bug

Hi.

I’ve tried to find info about this but haven’t succeeded. I’m trying to create a dashboard on my iPad with the help of a picture elements card. But I’ve encountered a bug that affects safari, companion app and chrome alike (so webview I guess).

When I have numbers that change, say a digital clock or a temperature or wind speed. The entire number does not change but only parts of it unless I refresh the page.

Does anyone have a solution to this? I’m at a loss about it.
See attached picture of my problem!

look like a font problem have you tried changing the font…

No I have not. I will try it!

Changed to arial and the problem persists so it does not seem to be a font problem.

Was there any follow-up on this? I’m having the same issue. The problem is on both the Mac and iOS versions of Safari.

I’ve simplified the problem as much as I can. If I use a simple picture-elements card that only displays a changing date sensor on a background, image refreshes are jumbled.

The configuration for this is pretty simple:

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

Yes, I am. I have replaced the VW font unit to px. Conversion website - https://khaledkzy.github.io/pixel-vh-vw-converter/

I will let you know if it works!

Ok. So it still does it! However, it fixes itself with a few seconds. I can live with that for now.

My solution was to replace my iPad with a cheap android tablet. Sorry…
