I have HA running in a VM on a Synology NAS. Setup works well but I have one issue. Sometimes, after a reboot, my Zigbee coordinator (USB) is not recognised. I normally solve the issue by unplugging and then replugging the USB dongle. My problem is I can (obviously!) only do this when I am home. I have just had to do a reboot remotely and guess what, the USB dongle is now missing and I can’t just go and unplug it. Does anyone know if it is possible to disconnect/reconnect the USB dongle remotely via software rather than physically? Or do I just need to wait until I am home to get my Zigbee devices up and running again?
Hi, I have the same issue on an asustor nas. It’s very puzzling and frustrating why it doesn’t recognise it after a reboot. I even tried an overkill solution. I got a usb hub with an on/off button on each port and a switchbot switch to press it remotely to simulate a plug / unplug.
Tried it a couple of times and still didn’t work, I had to manually change the port of the stick to get it recognised again. It really makes me think that I need to change the hardware that HA runs on.
Cheers
Hi, I went down the same SwitchBot route and it seems to work OK though the issue seems to have gone away (for now at any rate!). Recently my Zigbee Coordinator has been recognised after a NAS reboot. Hope you get some success with your issue
