Background: I have Glances integration installed. It creates a couple sensors for each network interface of the target machine. There are docker containers running on the target machines. As I frequently pull and recreate containers for updated images, new network sensors are created in HASS for the new bridge networks. The problem is, the integration does not remove deleted networks on HASS as they are removed. Hence there are hundreds of unavailable sensors for the devices under Glances integration. I have filed a feature request on the project. But it seems the developer does not consider implementing it.
Is it possible to delete an entity by automation? There are outdated entities generated from an integration periodically. I would like to remove them on a periodic schedule by automation.
Thanks for your patient and the pointer. No, I didn’t.
Now I have installed. Unfortunately, it lists no orphaned entity. And I think it is right. The outdated entities are still owned by integration Glances. Is it possible to have a direct delete action?
