Is it safe to update?

As you can see, I am on an older version of HassIO. Is it safe to update using the link in the hass.io page?

I read too many posts with people who found their installation broken after an update. The last time I did an update it took me almost two days to get everything working again.

I am also nervous especially for the x.0 releases, but this time all was OK
