I’m basic, I find it much easier to use a GUI to configure things. Are there any decent tools for managing Broadlink remotes?

Maybe Broadlink Manager - Docker version can help?

You can teach the remote commands using Developer Tools | Services - that doesn’t involve any tinkering with .yaml.
