Any Replies Yet to This Particular Topic ?
I Do have The Same Question !
I do know The Answer is a Big YES…
And I Do Know Several Posible Solutions…
But i would like to hear Some Good Ideas From OTher Community Members and heard Their experiences When Comes to add Storage To Their Systems…
Any Volunteers Wish to Share ?
Thanks in Advance !
One alternative that I would highly recommend is to go with a HA yellow and use a “lite” CM (i.e., no built in storage in the Raspberry PI compute module) but with a large NVMe module.
The reason I recommend this is that you will end up with a device with only one storage drive but a very large one. With only one storage drive, you will not have to do things like configure the historian to store data elsewhere… you just will have a ton of storage capacity.
Either way, good luck with your decision!
Thank you So Much mike15 For Sharing !
Thats The Best Solution When You have A HA Yellow
But in My Case I Have The HA Green Wich dont have any expandable Capabilities , I Knew This When Acquired The Green System that This was a quick Fix a plug and play solution In The Very Beginning of My HA Journey…10 Months and Countless Hours Trying , Learning Experimenting With Many Accomplishments And ofcourse 100’s of Failures And Catastrophics Mistakes . Now im Ready To Move On To The HA YELLOW… Storage is One of The Main Reasons…Besides Future Upgrades Capabilities " Hardware wise " Maybe I’ll keep My Green Around just in case " You Know " or Maybe I’ll Sale My HA Green To Another Beginner Fellow Home Automator And Keep Up Growing With This AMAZING SYSTEM…
I Wish To Thanks The Whole entire Home Assistant Community ,The Open Home Foundation Network ,Nabu Casa , and Every Single Member or User Involved With This Amazing And So Full of POTENTIAL PROJECT and all Of You Guys Whos Sacrifice Your time Knoledge and your very Own Resources To Make all This Possible !
Once Again !
A Huge THANK YOU …
