Hello,
I’ve recently moved a SONOFF snzb-03 motion sensor from Homey Pro to deConz.
Previously the sensor had a quite good motion detect ratio but now it’s triggering movement with no reason.
The base function of the sensor is to turn on the ligh of a wardrobe (no windows no heating sources 90% of the time the door is closed too) when someone steps in but from the HA log I can see that the light was turned ON several times by the motion sensor when the door was closed and no one was there.
The motion sensor worked fine untill yesterday but it was associated on the Homey Pro (I don’t think that the issue is HW related or ambient related)…
Is it possible that there is a too high sensitivity value by defalut for this sensor when associated on de Conz?
I haven’t seen any platform/integration that supports configuring the sensitivity on this device (Zigbee2MQTT, Hubitat, deCONZ), so I’m guessing it’s simply not possible due to device firmware, but I could be wrong if anyone figures it out…
I binned all of mine for that very reason. I just found them to be unreliable and false triggering all the time.
I’ve since moved over to a combination of Philips hue and Aqara sensors and not had a false trigger since. (About 3 months now) They are a bit more expensive but are so worth it.
That’s really unfortunate, I’ll have to pair them back to homey then…
I’ve tried to follow this simple steps: deConz API guide and some values can be edited, but I don’t see any “sensitivity” field…
