I have Insteon model 75790/75790WH IP camera. Can HA stream it? I used to be able to run it on my Hub until insteon dropped the support when they made the new app. But I just continued to run my old app. Now I have NO access to the camera. All the other Insteon things I have still work. But not the camera.
Good Morning Mark
Same issues. if I hear anything, I will for sure share it!
Dave
Thanks, I’ll be “listening”.
I’m in the same camp. I have a standard definition older model working, but not the HD. I’ve always heard they were made by Foscam, but who knows. Accessing via browser relies on a plugin called ipwebcamcompontents.exe. Accessing the camera in the browser, starts at http://192.168.XXX.XXX:34100/. After logging in, it takes you to http://192.168.XXX.XXX:34100/css/main1.css. Hopefully these clues will help someone smarter than me to figure something out!
Yes, I thought the camera was “Foscam”. Don’t remember if I reached that conclusion just because it LOOKED like it, or there was some statement at the time that it was FOSCAM. I think I tried to use the foscam with some tool (maybe in HA too) and it didn’t work.
Your suggested access via port was unsuccessful.
I have good news for you guys. I have all three of mine working… took me a day. They are Foscam but labelled Schezhan Reecam Tech… name not Foscam.
Login via the Ethernet… get the MAC address off the label and then scan your network… Advanced Port Scanner.
Realize that they have MAC address for both their Ethernet and WiFi connections.
If you forgot your login, use the reset button on the cam and it is admin and no password.
Anyway, the port is 34100 and I believe you set the camera to a fixed IP with this port… but you have to do this in your router… I think the Hub did this all for you…
These are the clues you need for this mystery, but you can control all of it…
So are you saying you gained access to them through the hub? using the Insteon HA Integration? Or some other software?
I tried the 34100 port earlier with no success. I currently have it on wired connection. I’m not sure what you mean by “labelled Schezhan Reecam Tech”. Mine from Insteon do not have that label. What is “Advanced Port Scanner”?
… time passes …
I verified through what the router showed me that the camera is connected through ethernet to 192.168.XXX.XXX, but when I tried to enter that address in the browser, it can’t reach the page. I also tried with the port of 34100 and also that port plus the added path to css/main1.css.
No go.
I only see the ethernet IP in the router. I don’t see the wifi connection in the router.
… time passes …
Oh, I looked in my documents folder and found the IP Camera Setup Tool. THAT showed port 25106!
So then I got access to that port and got to the login screen. But, of course, that asked for the user and password and the password printed on the camera was not accepted. Probably I changed it in the past? I’ll fool around guessing for a while and then I’ll try to press the reset button and see if that helps. (I have a VAGUE memory of that setup tool NOT working in the past)
… time passes …
Good news and slightly bad news. I did the reset and was able to get in with blank password on the port that the IP Camera setup found. The bad news part is that I can see that the LED lights around the outside have 2 of them blinking. This causes the image to blink also. And some of the other LEDs look like they are not on. Only 2 of the 12 LEDs aren’t on and not blinking.
Not sure at the moment how to hook up to wirelessly. Probably have to unplug the ethernet and use the tool again.
THEN I can maybe try accessing it through HA again as a Foscam.
… time passes …
I don’t see a wireless address popping up in the router when I unplug the ethernet.
… time passes …
Oh, I see there is a wireless configuration in the setup tool. Think that will work.
I also changed user, password, and port used while I was in there.
Don’t see the wireless connection on the router and have lost access now. May have to reset again.
… time passes …
It used to run on wifi, but I can’t get it to do it anymore. I don’t think I had any firmware updates on my disk. With the way that the leds are blinking and not able to get wifi again, I may just have to buy a new camera. I only had one of these, but I’ll try to see if I can hook up with HA, just for grins.
… time passes …
Nope, can connect with Foscam Integration from HA. I see that it has a rtsp port of 552 or something and I wouldn’t know what that is, if it has it all.
NEW HARDWARE… now I have to research what to buy that will work with HA. Anyone have a good recommendation for a non-battery operated inside camera that works with HA?
Hi, you seem even more diligent than I with all this work!
Please note that your camera has both a Ethernet and WiFi connection and if you want to use the WiFi, that is what you need.
You need to enable WiFi in the camera control panel… it is under Network/Wireless Settings…
Then I went back to Network/IP Configurations and set an IP that I had fixed in my router… it defaults to DHCP… and that did not work for me…
But, first things first and you should make sure wifi is enabled then a port scan should show up the device… with a random IP address…
Try Advanced Port Scanner if you need a scanner.
The Insteon IP Camera is now in the trash.
I did try enabling the Wifi setting. It didn’t show up in my router. And the Camera IP Setup Tool never saw the wifi connection.
I’m guessing that pulling the power supply out of the camera base and plugging it in again many times zapped something. Or maybe the camera was whacked out for a while and I didn’t notice it because I only occasionally look at the camera (like when the burglar alarm goes off, for instance, I take a look around).
I found a solution that got mine going! Mine is model 2864-222.
Log directly into the camera using your browser. Under “Network” you will find “Onvif.” Enabling Onvif also enables an RTSP port.

I tested this far using VLC.
Moving to Home Assistant, you just add a generic camera and you’re good to go!
Unfortunately, my Insteon IP Camera doesn’t seem to have that option.
Hey Mark,
I think i may have fumbled my way through it. I have a Insteon model 75790 and i couldn’t get it to work with the Generic Camera. This at least got snapshot to work. Haven’t figured out RTSP yet tho.
Let me know if it works for ya!

RSTP set to TCP, not needed but will give ya the config page.

Did put in the username and password
unchecked Verify SSL Certificate
Thanks for the reply, but I gave up and put it in the trash. I think something was busted in it anyway as I mentioned above. I’ll have to look for a replacement that works with HA.
If you have a recommended replacement, I’d be glad to hear it.
