I am trying to find an LLDP responder that runs under Home Assistant, have had no luck with google and have not found any settings in HA that appear to relate to LLDP. Mainly interested for external network mapping of my home.
I’ve created a simple home assistant addon to add LLDP support.
Can you tell me how to add this? HA does not seem to like the repo address of hassio-addons/lldpd at main · sspans/hassio-addons · GitHub
Thanks for the add-on. However, I don’t see any config options… My HA still appears in Unifi environment in top level, unlike other proxmox VMs… Any clue?
Thanks
So, it works well. But, understand that LLDP does not need configuring on HA past installing this project. The device will now be identified when viewing the LLDP info for the switch that it is directly connected to.
For example, if I enter the command show lldp info rem on my HP switch it will indicate that HA is connected to a port. If I enter show lldp info rem detail and that port number I will get more info from the switch about the HA install.
