Been having this issue for a while now. Originally it showed all my sources as they show up in the spotify app but from a couple of months to now it’s been like in the picture. Is anybody experiencing this issue? All my speakers are echo devices.
Same problem here with the official spotify integration.
Someone raised the issue on Github but it was closed since it was probably due to the spotify API.
Spotcast also sees the same serials. The official spotify app correctly shows the device name though.
EDIT: looks like this issue is already raised with spotify devs but I guess it will take longer to fix (same as if you have more than 3 echo multiroom groups, it will not display the old groups)
That’s exactly it… the Spotify app showed those serials for a few days too but now they’re ok in the app and crippled in the integration as you said
Just in case someone stumbles across this.
Play to the device showing as the device ID though the Spotify app, then it will show correctly in HA
