Issue with HomeKit Controller & HomeKit Bridge

Hi all,

I need your help with my current setup.

  1. Home Assistant with current release
  2. HomeKit Bridge is active and works with most sensors and switches

Today I wanted to integrate some Aqara Zigbee sensors. I have a ConBee II Stick, however the wireless reach is too low and the stick will not connect to the sensors. I bought an Aqara Hub M2, however I just discovered that the Integration for Xiaomi Aqara does obviously not support the hub.

Now I tried to connect HA to the M2 hub via HomeKit Controller. This works quite well and the sensors are available in HA.

However the sensors (water leakage, motion, temperature, window) are not pushed via the HomeKit Bridge to HomeKit. This means that those sensors are not available in the Home app.

Did I miss a point?

Thanks a lot for your help

BR Thomas

Not all sensors on the device are always accessible through the HomeKit Bridge. It usually comes down to whatever the manufacturer chooses to expose to HomeKit. I have this issue with Ecobee thermostats.

Easiest way to add zigbee directly would be to increase the range through persistently powered zigbee devices like power plug switches, each one will increase the mesh. I find multiple hubs messier unless it’s necessary due to a different building or number of devices.

which Home app are you talking about ?, i have my M2 in Homekit-Controller and on phone in Aqara Home APP(android) all sensors available both places
