Issue With Sonos Speakers Becoming Unavailable For 30 Minutes After HASS Restart

I’m an HASS noob, but I’m having a very strange issue. Every time I restart my HASS service, my Sonos speakers will be unavailable for about 30 minutes and then become available again.

My Sonos speakers are on my main LAN and my HASS service is on my IoT VLAN. The service is running from a virtual machine on a Windows 11 PC that is on my main LAN. The PC has 2 network adaptors - 1 for the main LAN and 1 for HASS running on the virtual machine. My router’s firewall rules are set to allow LAN traffic in to all VLANS. Traffic in is allowed from the HASS service to all of my Sonos speakers.

So as if now, my Sonos speakers are available in HASS, but if I restart the service, they’ll become unavailable for almost exactly 30 minutes and then become available again.

And if anyone is wondering why I have my Sonos speakers on my main LAN, it’s because there is a lot work involved in getting them to work properly with the Sonos apps which run on devices that are on my main LAN.

Have you tried disabling auto-discovery by specifying the IP addresses in configuration.yaml?

Thanks. That did the trick.
