Issue with Tuya Integration: CREATE - WARM TOWEL PRO 1500 WiFi Towel Radiator

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with a towel radiator, from CREATE brand, that I have integrated into Home Assistant via the Tuya integration. Most of my devices work correctly, but this specific towel radiator is not functioning properly within Home Assistant.

Here are the details:

The towel radiator works perfectly in the Smart Life app. However, in Home Assistant, when I try to use the mode button within the climate entity, nothing happens. Other devices under the same Tuya integration work fine.

I’ve tried checking logs and reviewing similar issues but haven’t been able to find a solution. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I found a solution by myself. The solution was to install the Tuya Local integration, which allows for local control of Tuya devices without relying on the cloud. After setting this up using the following component:

Tuya Local Integration - GitHub

The climate entity now works perfectly, and the mode button functions as expected.

If anyone else encounters a similar problem, I recommend trying this integration.

Hello, I am interested in this model of towel dryer and I would like to have some details. Is it possible to manage the towel dryer part independently from the heating part.

Did you get the fan working as well? I’ve got it running with Tuya local but see no preset

It is working with the GitHub - make-all/tuya-local: Local support for Tuya devices in Home Assistant integration

Nothing special in the configuration, just follow the instrucctions and login with the Smart Life application

Hi, I have the same model : Towel Pro 500/1500 wifi, I can discover the device in the “CREATE home” app but it failed to discover something on “Smart Life” app.so I can’t use the local-Tuya :frowning:
Of course I can’t get the local key from the Create home app
Have you done something special to be able to add your device on SmartLife ?

thanks for your reply. in fact i have 2 bathroom and 1 warm towels pro 1500 in each of them. The white one I can’t pair it on SmartLife app but the Black on works ! Maybe CREATE built 2 revisions ?
Which color is yours ?

In order to add the device to Smart Life app, first remove from Create App in case you already add it.

Then according to the manual, press for 5 seconds the temperature key and wifi icon will start to flash rapidly. Now press add device in the Smart Life app an try to find the device

thanks for taking time to reply. Yes this works like a charm with my black warm towel but it doesn’t detect anything in Smart Life app with the white one.
I opened the black and I saw a chips looks like an ESP with a sticker
Model: WBR3
P/N 2.01.99.00006
S/N xxxx
I’ll open the white to check if there are differences.

The white one is a TYWE1S

I’ll check if I can find a WBR3 board + chips so I can control it on home assistant.

I just bought this radiator, and I’m trying to configure it in home Assistant
it is configured well in local tuta integration
i just have a little trouble finding what each value corresponds to, and what to put for the entities

Hi mate, can you share your device setup?
I got it connected to HA, but it’s to know the controls to setup on tuyalocal configuration.

I found how to setup current temp, target temp and power off/on.

High or low power is still not working as need, as I select eco and heater change to high power, and them I can’t revert it to low.

I will check again tomorrow. If you need I can give you the steps on localtuya climate configuration.

For all that want to config his towel warmer I was able to setup as Tuya local all the entities.
Power off/on, mode, lock and timer working.
Here is the setup of the enitie after setting the tuya addon:
