So i’m very new to the whole HA software and setups, and looking at everywhere i have seen this should be straight forward… “plug and play” they say…
Scenario : New install of HA onto an SSD connected via USB3 port to a Pi4 4Gb.
Zigbee 3.0 Dongle into USB3 port of RPI.
Pi image installed to the SSD. Username/password etc all set up.
Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus - Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus appears as a discovered Integration.
However, as soon as i click on the “configure” button, it does the following :
Please wait, starting configuration wizard for the integration
Selecting “Erase network setting and form a new network”, all that happens is i get a box saying “error” and with no other information…
Anyone seen this info before and any advice how i can get it all working??
Sorted. Seems like the current version of ZA doesnt play ball - installed an older version (Home Assistant 2022.10.3) which sees it and means i can now see it and devices in HA Overview
I’ve been trying for several weeks to install and get my Home Assistant system working with the Sonoff ZBDongle-P stick. I followed various guides on this platform to try and solve the issue, but I still can’t get the system to work. I should mention that I’m a beginner with limited experience. I have the HA operating system installed on an RPi 4. I’ve managed to configure the Shelly devices I have at home and to integrate data from the inverter for solar panel production, but I can’t integrate the Zigbee network.
I’ve flashed the Sonoff stick, but I keep seeing a “Failed Setup” message in the integrations section. I’ve set up MQTT by following guides online and installed the Mosquitto broker and zigbee2mqtt add-ons. I can’t figure out how to resolve this issue and have gotten lost trying to pinpoint where the problem might be.
I also checked that the hardware is setup in the correct port
in my case is /dev/ttyUSB0 if i am not mistaken
I would be very grateful if someone could help, as I’ve made significant efforts to understand and solve this on my own but am still stuck. Thank you very much in advance.
