That’s pretty accurate description of who I am.
I’ve capped off the dangerouse live wire whats hanging about and was also touching the ceiling rose, which is dangerouse! So I have made safe until an electrian can come and check it out! I have called them to take a look! I’ve also purphased two normal bulbs E27 but not tested them yet will wait until another day!
But it’s at least safe now until checked out and no need to turn to drink just because someone says too that just causes more issues in the world of the living!
I’m looking forward to the results and if it fixes your issues.
So far doing nothing has its working ok-ish! not perfect but good enough to save buying Hue Bulbs at £85 I’ve not programmed the 3rd button yet going to give it a day to see if anything changes like ip adddress like you mentioned! Then if still ok I will try to add something onto the spare button on the switch but this time try a bulb first then try back to the strip lights if the bulb passes me I’m also hoping too, I also nearly killed myself as I went back up to the ceiling rose to have another check but so glad I used my special electricians SCREW BLUE DRIVER and it told me the case was live so it was I do not touch it until I turned the electric off And make where it was coming from capped and safe! I bet someone on here would have loved me to have touched it but who needs and Electrician when you need one I will still have it checked over though just to then get a shower cable in which I ALSO KNOW WHAT TO DO But I might as well get two birds over in one go!
Is there anyway to keep a light on longer than a min by adding something to the automations.yaml file as in some places its not long enough and also on somethings I ve added it makes the light blink everytime the sensor detects you!
So far the switch still seems ok and to is working!. The only drawback is if someone comes in and presses it it will just turn the light on the switch off. But if you leave it like this for a few seconds and press it again the light turns on. If you were to do it fast light when kids do and keep pressing it on and off it will send it into pairing mode. If ignored it just goes back to normal and works as per normal from HA or from voice prompts so I think it’s pretty good at least I can still pair it if I need to and I can not try to set up the tablet to auto-detect a person and then they will see to turn lights on or off and hope they keep away from the switch unless we can find a better way.
Depends.
If it is turned of by HA, you can extened it in your automation.
The basics are perfectly explained in the documentation.
If it is turned of by the switch itself, you have to disable the auto off function or extend the time to a such value it is reasonable to be able to suit the situation but still have a fallback that suits the application of the lights in case HA fails to communicate.
Thank you this link is good but still does not tell me what I need to add into it the code that is unless Im a mind reader and know lets guess time to stop on 5 mins which I know for certain will not work as it will need to be the correct t script syntax to go into it and I do not know what to add into it I see the code but no clue what to put in and when I do it ends up messing everything up! I have Dyslexia! And the only why Ill ever know is to see it somewhere! like an e.g I see wait 1 min but still not clue what to write in what I already have there written in.
Where would I add it as in the Trigger section, condition or Action and things like if i already have the entity in teh yaml file do i jsut write in a line of code under it. Syntax as always been hard for me to understand even when I did the For Loop in Java I was usless at it
I also sad to say no clues what you mean by disable the auto off function
Would it be something like this I add to the automations.yaml file.
I just dont want to mess what’s already there.

If the dyslexia is troublesome to get things in the correct context, i’ll suggest you to watch this video.
It will give you a kickstart on automations.
I’ve finally figured it out by your mentions to get some normal Bulb to test the circuits! This helped me find what I thought were 3 live wires as one of them being a Nuteral and needed to be on the N of the switch which is also why I got confused I had missed the N on the switch thinking there was only the L1 L2 L3 on it! and I had used 2 of them for each light!
So the last one was to go on the Switch so I think between us both we have to figure a way to use Smart Bulbs colour on a Switch and no need to use Hue Bulbs at £89 now Thanks so much for your help and patients and understanding!
I still need to figure a way though to keep a light on longer than a min now as the Automation is very hard to fully understand but I will get there in time by me keep watching different videos to help!
I think we are resolved here now! Thanks!
The correct Wiring by My a proper Electrians! Me!

All I need to do if anything fails with HA or a Network issue is change the bulbs back to the normal ones I got from you saying to get! Just like keeping a Candle in case now we need to keep a Normal bulb in case
