I was just upgrading from 5.9 to 5.10 on a rPi 4b 64bit.
I had previously moved my data to an external ssd. Everything worked fine.
After initiating the upgrade, the host never came back up again.
So I started a from scratch, etched the sd-card with the currently available downloadable version 5.9, which of course reverts the data to the sd-card.
I imported my latest snapshot.
I upgraded again to OS 5.10.
This time everything went fine, and I had a running current system again.
So I decided to move the data to the ssd again with
datactl move /dev/sda
When I rebooted the host, to initiate the data move, the host never came back up again. Same as before.
So I guess I’ll refrain from experiments with a ssd-data partition for now. This just doesn’t seem to be a reliable option right now. To bad
