I have my HA running on a VM on a Proxmox box, which has been working well for over a year. Most of my lights devices are Tuya based, but I have a few Philips Hue outdoor lights and find their remotes and sensors to be excellent, so use them via HA to trigger groups of Tuya lights.
Today I got around to migrating from a Hue Bridge V2 to a Hue Bridge Pro (V3 I believe). I ran the migration process in the Hue app and most of my devices were transferred over, although a few needed to be re-added manually.
In HA however, I started getting an error against the Hub (Bridge) in the Hue integration. Adding another Hub didn’t show anything, so I removed the old Hub which was the last device and removed the entire integration. When I try to add the integration now it doesn’t show up under the Discovered section and going through the ‘Add Integration’ process gives me about a second of the wizard attempting to find something before I am presented with a ‘Manually configure a Hue bridge’ screen. Putting the bridge’s IP Address in gives a ‘Failed to connect’ message.
I feel like I am stuck for ideas on how to troubleshoot any further. I originally had the Bridge Pro on WiFi but now have it on LAN using the same cable and port as the old V2 Bridge. I’ve tried giving it a static IP in my DHCP, rebooting my HA instance, my Proxmox box and power cycling my whole network. I can successfully ping the Bridge Pro from a terminal on another VM on the Proxmox box.
The Bridge Pro works fine in the native Hue app, as well as through Alexa. I’ve also factory reset the Bridge Pro and tried pressing the button on it immediately before manually adding the integration, all with no success.
I’m almost at the point of migrating back to the V2 Bridge but am hoping someone may have a suggestion to get the Bridge Pro working. I’m on Core 2025.8.3 and OS 10.5. Any suggestions?
