We have two Tuya devices: a switch (ATORCH-Temperature Controller, model AT4PTW) and an electricity meter (PC321-W-TY Bi-Directional). Both devices were previously connected to Home Assistant via Local Tuya and worked flawlessly. However, after performing a “device update” for the electricity meter through the Smart Life app, the device stopped sending data to Home Assistant. The switch continued to work without any issues at that time.
To resolve the issue:
- We deleted and recreated projects in the Tuya IoT platform.
- After deleting the switch’s project, its data also disappeared from Home Assistant.
- We moved to the Tuya Cloud integration, but both devices now show as “unsupported.”
Currently:
- Both devices work perfectly in the Smart Life app and display all their data.
- Both devices are marked as “online” in the Tuya IoT Platform, and their DPID data is visible via “Device Debugging.”
- Home Assistant still does not display any entities for the switch or the meter (both are labeled as “unsupported”).
How can we resolve this issue and restore the ability to monitor and control both devices in Home Assistant?
