Itunes API assistance

Hello everyone. I’m relativity new and have been having some difficulty incorporating the iTunes API into home assistant. I followed all the instructions to add the 3rd party program to my mac and have iTunes running. If I log into my mac’s ip address from another computer I can see the iTunes logo so I believe I have the API correctly installed and its a home assistance configuration issue. I have configured my configuration.yaml file with:

media_player:
  - platform: itunes
    host: my mac's ip address

The media player appears in lovelace but it shows that it is off-line.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Gmel how did you go with this did you end up figuring out how to set it up ?

Hello. No. I wasn’t able to accomplish it. I ended up going to a Sonos system and it gives me access to my play lists in home assistant.
