Just plugged in a Jabra 710 using USB to my HA Yellow, idea is to use this as speaker and microphone for Assistant (tried Atom Echo before, but with not so good experience).
Can see under “All Hardware” the Yellow sees something about it:
Despite this I cannot see this unit as a Device or Entity in the HA.
What extra steps do I need to do?
(Installed Piper, Whisper and openWakeWord), but it cannot use this device.
Please advice further what to do if others has tried the same?
When I added a Jabra 510 to mine (not using anymore), it never showed up as a device. As far as I remember, you also need to add the Assist Microphone. Once this is installed, you configure it there
Go to the add-on store in HA, search for Assist Microphone, then once installed, the option to add the Jabra will be at the very bottom of the configuration tab
I can’t remember fully unfortunately, but if you believe you’ve set everything correct in the config on the add on, try restarting home assistant, then watch the logs in add on when speaking your chosen wake word.
I assume you have also configured a pipeline in HA under settings > voice assistant?
Thanks for the help Carl, I found the issue. There are 2 different “Asisist Microphones” in the Add-On Store. I found this out after checking thru the video that there was small differences in the setup.
