Jabra Speak 710 not connecting via bluetooth

Hello, I have searched high and low for a solution and reaching out the community to see if someone else successfully navigated the same challenges.

System:

  • running on windows 11, via Oracle VB
  • host computer has internal BT
  • HA is up-to-date 2024.12.5

Hardware: jabra speak 710 connected via BT

The device (jabra) works perfectly on the host machine. I am able to hear playback and microphone is working correctly. I can also use Assist when accessing via web by clicking on the microphone icon. What I can’t do is use the wake word and speak commands.

troubleshooting so far:
I have attempted to connect via the bluetooth integration but receive an error that no interface is available
I have connected directly to the usb port, and added the usb to the VB but receive a error on the HA terminal “ohci-pci”. also the speaker appears to be looping between connecting and disconnecting.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated on how I might connect this device so that I may use as a satellite for voice command.

The Bluetooth integration simply makes Bluetooth communication available, it doesn’t mean you can pair HA with devices as you would, say, a mobile phone. For that you would need a specific integration. There’s a list of official ones here:
