Jewish Cal "Issur Melacha" sensor should trigger after restart

Hello Tsvi,

I had an electricity cut on Rash Hashana first day and after it came back the Raspberry PI restarted and home assistant started but the sensor “Issur Melacha” did not trigger back on on restart, and the result was that all my automations that are conditioned with this sensor being on did not trigger and I had no air condition and lights :slight_smile:
We really need a trigger at Home Assistant Restart check if it is Chag or Shabbat and re trigger the sensor.

As far as I understand it is just a sensor, i.e. you can always check its state, but it is not an event trigger. So what happened is a correct behavior. I suggest you run your automations on HA “start” event (in the case there were problems with electricity). See here:
