I just created an automation where Alexa will announce x person will be home soon base on Homekit knowing I am in my home geolocation. Great. This will alert me that x person will be home soon and vice versa if I am coming home soon.
What if my home is being burglar and the announcement gave the burglar a chance to escape.

There is no question really. I am just wondering if this automation is a good idea given the situation.
Think this way: it might save your life.
On the other hand, why not to make Alexa’s announcement conditional? That there must be some of you home?
Or place a condition in the automation not to do the action when your not actually home yet.
In case of a burglar, you might already want an alarm on your phone to ring?
