Just use cameras or motion-eye os

I have several cameras connected to Home Assistant. Now I saw a video of BeardedTinker where he uses Motion-eye os. Now I wonder what the advantage of using motion-eye is.
Will I have less delay, or are it the extra features of motion-eye

HA is for Home Automation
MotionEye is Network Video Recorder (NVR) for record and manage of camera video

MotionEye makes the recording/review of security footage easier. In the past this was my go to recommendation. I would recommend Frigate instead of motioneye now. Frigate has image detection and integrates well with HA. Frigate also offloads most work to Coral TPU so CPU usage is low if using TPU.

You can accomplish NVR task in HA but it would be reinventing the wheel and require many automations so easier to use NVR. if view directly in NVR the camera image may be faster (5 second lag vs 20+ second in HA)

I use frigate to detect/record/review from camera
I use HA Camera for quick check of camera
Frigate sends the detect and image to HA so I may use it in automation logic or other task

Thank you for your answer. Frigate is an interesting option indeed.Unfortunately the Coral USB accelator is not available at this moment.
