Each time the map is updated, it resets the zoom factor, unfortunately also while you are viewing an area that you have zoomed in or out.
It would be nice if the zoom factor is untouched during update if you have previously used the + and - zoom buttons. This should be kept untouched until the map is closed and reopened again.
Would love to see this happen.
I could get a lot more use out of the map if it stayed at whatever zoom level I set it, at least as long as I have the page open.
Currently it’s virtually unusable as it zooms out and shows half the state every time it updates.
I would have to agree here. The way the map works now makes it impossible to follow a device in real-time.
I’d love to see this resolved by ability to specify entity to track (keep in center of map) and zoom level specific for tracking, not one that we have right now… that is barely respected anyhow. I guess this might be troulesome if there are multiple entities specified to be shown on map, though
