Kermi x-center heatpump integration

Hello,

I have Kermi heatpump with x-center and I’m trying to read status of its components (temperature from sensors, power, cop, operation status, etc.). After some searching, I found some signs that it could support modbus over TCP, but it looks like it must be enabled first. At least on my unit, the only ports I see open are ssh and http.

Does anyone have any experience with integrating these heat pumps with homeassistant?

@brun059, I noticed in one of your posts that you might be using kermi heatpump with modbus. Did you have to do anything to enable it? How is it working for you?

I’m also looking for a integration. Has you asked kermi for more informations?

only seen your message now: Yes, I have the list of modbus registers from Kermi, and I installed a cheap (USD 20) Modbus TCP device from Aliexpress (PE21 if I’m not mistaken)

PS Mod bus worked till 2023.12, stopped working with 2024.1 (swap does not default anymore) working on restoring

OK thanks for the update. I contacted kermi and first they configured something wrong and I hope, that after the holiday season they make it correct. I installed the modbus tcp device already. I will update if I get something new.

Hi.
I’m also very interested in an integration of my kermi heat pump in HA. Can you tell me please which device you have exactly purchased? Thanks a lot!

This tool is recommend and I bought it also:
Waveshare RS485 to RJ45 Ethernet Converter Module, Industrial Rail-Mount Isolated RS485 Serial Server,TCP/IP to Serial Module,10 / 100M Auto-Negotiation RJ45 Connector,with POE Function: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör

You have to contact kermi to activate the funktion. I hope they will add a rest api in the future.

Thank you!
I have no free space in my fuse block, so I bought this one here for now.

If it will not work I will try yours…

Do you already have integrated the water pump in HA?

Until now it is not integrated. I had issues with the scheme (“szenen”) and I’m waiting for the call of kermi.

Ok, please let us stay informed…

I am very interested as well. I have a x-well system which i would like to use via Home Assistant.

Hi, can you please post a short discribtion about your installation and integration ?

Hey, I will replay after it is running. Until now, I’m waiting for the call of Kermi.

Would you mind sharing the modbus registers list?

not at all

see Adding a template to my Modbus.yaml file

file from Kermi is here Loading Google Sheets

I’m also thinking about installing modbus interface. But as I check the registers description posted by @brun059 , it looks very limited.

So far I wanted to at least grab some data from heatpump to be able to do some statistics and long term visualization. So I created java application that scrape selected metrics via webpages and put data into influxdb. GitHub - martinberanek/xcenter: Read metrics from xcenter api on portal.kermi.com and put them to influxdb

Now I installed also FVE and i need automate some changes in heatpump setting. Thinking about extending my tool to allow controlling (enable/disable) of “scenarios”.

Hey @martinberanek , I was trying out your tool, but I don’t know where to get my “apiId” and “deviceId” and am therefor getting a 500 error.
Can you please help me?

Hey guys, I am in the ongoing process of integrating my Heizbösch heatpump (which is a kermi franchise i guess) in, and it already works quite well. Infos can be found here GitHub - col-panic/homeassistant-boesch-heatpump-integration: Integration of a Bösch Heatpump into HomeAssistant

Hey @col.panic - small world, isn’t it ?
I’m still on openhab, thinking about changing to HA also, maybe i can support ?

My MR to OH is in progress and will be finished, but this won’t stop me think outside this box.

I’ll try your integration these days i hope (time is the problem as always).
So i’m watching here now.

Regards,
K.
