I have Kermi heatpump with x-center and I’m trying to read status of its components (temperature from sensors, power, cop, operation status, etc.). After some searching, I found some signs that it could support modbus over TCP, but it looks like it must be enabled first. At least on my unit, the only ports I see open are ssh and http.
Does anyone have any experience with integrating these heat pumps with homeassistant?
@brun059, I noticed in one of your posts that you might be using kermi heatpump with modbus. Did you have to do anything to enable it? How is it working for you?
only seen your message now: Yes, I have the list of modbus registers from Kermi, and I installed a cheap (USD 20) Modbus TCP device from Aliexpress (PE21 if I’m not mistaken)
PS Mod bus worked till 2023.12, stopped working with 2024.1 (swap does not default anymore) working on restoring
OK thanks for the update. I contacted kermi and first they configured something wrong and I hope, that after the holiday season they make it correct. I installed the modbus tcp device already. I will update if I get something new.
Hi.
I’m also very interested in an integration of my kermi heat pump in HA. Can you tell me please which device you have exactly purchased? Thanks a lot!
Now I installed also FVE and i need automate some changes in heatpump setting. Thinking about extending my tool to allow controlling (enable/disable) of “scenarios”.
Hey @martinberanek , I was trying out your tool, but I don’t know where to get my “apiId” and “deviceId” and am therefor getting a 500 error.
Can you please help me?
Hey @KaiNe yeah I already spent some time with the integration, and I’m already quite far, i can change the parallel shift, and I am about to dis/enable the hot water heating. I’m still playing around with the cards, this is what I got so far
as soon as I think that I got it dnoe, I will update the documentation! All the best!
