i have been following this guide
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YV0DFPBQbWQ
i have got my keyboard detected and able to trigger events
but i want to have button combinations such as a Button A (power on, key code 1) + button C (TV/nvidia shield, key code 110) to turn on the TV or Button B (power off, key code 99) + Button D (ceiling light, key code 102) to turn off the ceiling light
Paul seems to be up on that subject. Have you tried to ask him or if there is a GitHub or something as his source of info have you contacted them. Here you might find someone, but the knowledgeable people seem to be there. This is the first I’ve seen of that thing so I could not help you.
i did leave a comment on his video but no response as yet, there is a reddit thread with instructions on how to set it up (copied from his youtube video description
bit.ly/3WW3SWV
but it is archived and can no loner add comments
i also looked thorugh the documentation
(https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/keyboard_remote/)
but nothing about key combinations
Well maybe your post here will spark something.
I suggest spice up the title a bit with the exact keyboard model and maybe mention Hibbert video and it will have a better chance of getting traction in the Google world.
You know, the kind of words you would put in a search.
I hate it when people do a video or write software and do not support it…
