Keymaster Stuck on Adding Status

I installed Keymaster today. All went well. I was able to add a code to Code #8. It worked. I then added to Code #1 and #2. All good there. When I add to code #3, the status says at adding. When I click the Enable off, it stays at Deleting status. Anyone have any ideas?

Adding

The developer is working on a built-in solution, but for right now there’s many fixes for it. Check the info on the official keymaster thread.

Thanks I’ll have to see if I can find that. I did notice that I might be having a time issue. If you look at this screenshot the time that code was added I didn’t even have key master installed yet.

Oh where can I find the official key Master thread?

I looked through that post and really didn’t find anything that would help me as far as I know. I’m very new to all this.

On the code that is stuck on adding or deleting, go to key master and turn off ‘enable’. Then go to developer’s tool, just above settings on the left navigation bar. In Developers tools select actions → then enter in the action box ‘Z-Wave: Clear lock user code’ → then in Targets select chose device → select your lock → in code slot enter the code slot that was stuck at adding → then select perform action

Give it a minute then go back to KeyMaster and enable the slot again. You may have to repeat.

Also, it is a good practice to have a repeater\extender between the lock and Zwave controller. Any AC power device like a ZWAVE outlet and be a repeater. You can also use native zwave repeater.

Thank you, that seemed to work for now.

Great. Keep an eye on the main KeyMaster thread for updates,

I have 2 more locks on a different HA
Schlage BE469
I’m getting this error when trying to do the Z-Wave: Clear Lock Usesr clode in the Developer tools. All slots are in Deleting State

Try this. You can run it from developer tools also.

No go. All slot still stuck on deleting

How far away are the locks from the controller? Even without great distances, battery powered ZWAVE locks need a buffering repeater nearby.

I’m going to guess the lock is about 50 ft away from the controller. I do have a Z-Wave range extender in the middle.

50 is too far, having it in the middle is too far also. Put it as close as you can get it, about 10 to 15 feet.

I can tell you my experience with battery powered ZWAVE locks. I use many of them, I started using them with SmartThings, I always had a problem with the communications with them. Not accepting code changes, not reporting back about status, etc. I did a lot of reading, found out it was a known issue, in general it needs a buffering repeater\extender between the lock and controller, about 20 feet with no walls, I do 10 feet with walls.

So I bought one, not only did it improve the lock functions but it increased the battery life like crazy, the batteries really last a very long time, even with heavy use.

So for ZWAVE and Zigbee, I’m a repeater\extender nut! I have AC powered devices, mostly real repeaters\extenders and outlets, my mesh network on both Zwave and Zigbee are strong.

I brought that from SmartThings to HA and it still works well with communication and battery life for all battery powered Zwave and Zigbee devices are great.

I would recommend moving the repeater/extender as close as possible to the lock, that will help, if you have another AC powered device you can put in the middle, that will help also.

But if you read up on the Battery Powered ZWAVE locks on the net you will see.

So my Zwave controller is like I said about 50 foot away from Lock. In between the Controller and Lock are the following

Range Extender
Zwave Plug
Range Extender.

I had Hubitat and didn’t have any issues with connectivity of either lock.

At home, my Controller is in the basement and my Lock is on the Garage door again about 50 feet away with no extenders in place.

I’m not sure what happened, but my Schlage BE469 lock started working. I’m now able to add, delete codes. Again not sure why all the sudden it started working.
