Hey,
I’m looking for a keypad that is weather proof. We need to have this installed on a gate so that we can keep track of who got in at what point. If the code is correct, HASS needs to receive a signal (MQTT) or what so ever, activate a switch to open the gate or something similar.
Has anybody achieved this?

dahua has VTO model with keypad
it has good integration and decent api access.
Esphome is best option now

I put QR code at gate (vinyl on metal)
Scan code brings up doorbell page
My kids use code provided by OTP from auth app to open gate
Others can enter phone number out Name and ring doorbell
Entering wrong code or nothing Andy runs doorbell
Ask there notify phones with image
Doorbell Also runs audible been in house
