Quick update for those of you following along with the UI and dashboard side of things.
Over the past few months, we noticed a massive trend: people were hacking this integration to manage standard adult chores and coordinate with housemates. It became obvious that the community needed a tool built for the entire home. So, with @VaReTaS support, I took everything we learned here and built the next generation of this project.
Say hello to ChoreOps v1.0.0!
Since this thread has always been about the frontend, you are going to love the new architecture. ChoreOps introduces a totally decoupled, “Over-The-Air” Lovelace template registry. This means it automatically handles native Light/Dark modes, supports 13+ languages out of the box, and pushes UI updates without needing a core HA reboot.
Under the hood, the engine has been completely rewritten to include smart task rotations, precise due-time windows, and a unified OpsCenter for management.
What is next for your setup?
All active development and support are shifting over to the new repository. The best part? You do not have to start from scratch. ChoreOps comes with a built-in migration wizard that safely imports all your existing family profiles, points, and history while running safely alongside your current KidsChores setup.
