I don’t understand what you mean by receiving the signals in the ics1000 and sending them to HA. You set the ICS 1000 to HA and then you can turn the lights and switches on and off with HA and use them for your automation.
I would like to be able to capture a Kaku switch on and off signal and use it in a HA automation. To be more specific, I have a wall switch that I use to to turn on/off all the lights based on a rule and scene in my ICS 2000 that are triggered by that wall switch. I would like to add to that trigger to also turn off a Harmony Hub activity or any active music in my cast speakers. The wall switch will then be a fully equipped ‘leaving home’ switch.
Okay I guess that would be possible but I don’t dare confirm this I only use it for a few switches. I also don’t know if a wall switch can be added to the ICS1000.
I bought an ICS1000 for 10 euros on Marktplaats so maybe it’s worth a try… Otherwise you can always add lamps and other things…
Are you not yet so deep into KAKU I would recommend switching to Zigbee with stuff from Aqara for example this works much better!
KAKU is also not planning to make an integration for the ICS2000 which I find very unfortunate and a missed opportunity.
I have a house full of Kaku lights and switches Being able to capture wall switches with HA is one of the last things I wish it would do. But I am not feeling too much for buying an expensive RFXCom because the ICS 2000 fulfills that role already quite well and I want to keep that as the primary hub.
Will definitely try to score one on Markplaats!
Yes I would say go out and research and try it.
Am curious if it worked out just let me know!
Hi,
I followed the guide from rogerfrost and I managed to get my Kaku powersocket visible as an entity in Home Assistant. However it is shown as read only so I cant create a switch for it so I can turn on the connected light to the kaku power socket
I got my ICS-1000 today which I have now setup next to my existing ICS-2000. I have the ICS-1000 setup in HA and it works ok, I can control a power outlet socket from within HA. However, I was not aware that there doesn’t seem to be a possibility to ‘receive’ a command with the ICS-1000, it is one way only (unlike the ICS-2000 where you can also receive signals from wall switches or remotes and create a rule for that signal). I was hoping to capture an on/off signal from a remote or wall switch with the ICS-1000 and then link a HA automation to it.
Am I correct in concluding that that’s not possible with the ICS-1000 or am I missing something?
It worked.
Really happy here.
Followed the steps. Indeed you need to make a switch in HA and use it to get the link message on the ICS1000.
I also have lamps which are switched by a KAKU switch so I used the switches version in the YAML file.
I also have dimmable switches. Now I can only switch them on and off but can not use the dim function.
Is it possible to use this also in HA. Maybe I have to call them not switches but…???
Solved:
Dimmable switches in sockets and the build-in versions are also considered as lights.
After update 2022.2.2 it don’t work for me… Any one same problem?
Yes i had today. Now after every restart i have to switch every kaku entity 1x with a button to make it active. Before that it is read only
The kaku wall sockets i use are really unstable in hassio scene’s or node-red automations. If i use single buttons they are working fine, but if i try to switch multiple sockets on/off, always 2 or 3 are not responding. Anyone have some tips?
Add a small delay between the switch actions to your KaKu devices. Did it for me
Hi Sven, Thijs,
I have updated the config file as suggested (with correct IP), but I do not get a register device notification. I have de-registered all devices from my ICS-1000 as I recall there’s a limit to the number of devices you can register. Also not sure if related, I do not fully understand the difference between the section “lights” and “switches”. I use a switch (like APA3-1500) to turn my “normal” lights on; For R1 I have listed everything under lights, for R2 I have listed them under switches. I have restarted HA several times with following config file. Did I make any obvious mistakes? Really appreciate your help:

Hi Erik,
The R numbers stand for rooms in the KAKU app you can create 5 rooms in the app. In each room you can also add 5 switches and lights. So if you have a switch in Room 1 and the first device in the list is a switch then that is R1D1:
Further I would say start with 1 switch (APA3-1500) in room 1 and try to connect it. after that you can always easily add the next one.

Thanks Sven. this seems to work now. It showed up in the default dashboard (lovelace). Now I need to figure out how to get it my custom created dashboard. And I need to get my ACD-200 “Stekker dimmer” to work…
KAKU devices with a sonoff rf Bridge it costs 10 to 15 euro’s. it possible to pair the click 433 mhz with a son off bridge .
There are many products available on klikaanklikuit website. You can choose according to your need.
I am facing some problems on this site. I would like to contact KlikaanKlikuit, but I cannot find a e-mail address.
Although the topic is a bit older, I think your step by step approach is still the best info found.
I’m looking to control 4x ASUN-650 kaku/coco shutter controllers (up/down/neutral)
So far, I have only found references to buttons and on/off switches. Has anyone tried this approach with shutter controllers and the ICS-1000 ?
