Should be better in 0.117 - if the PR will be accepted https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/42026 but you will hss add vor to adapt your config.
Maybe even an upgrade to 0.116 fixes this issue too, not sure.

Confirm: already solved in 0.116 (current release). Still shows “preset_mode: away”, but the thermostat and climate control works great!
