Hi,
I am pretty new to Home Assistant. Comeing over from OH3, to see if i could realize my Home with Home Assistant.
I wanted to see if I can rebuild my Garage Door Button. And i am not really sure how to do it.
It is working in OH3 and in KNX.
I have 3 Group Adresses
1 for go/stop/go - switch
1 for Position up
1 for Position down
what would be the easiest way to build a switch, that tells me if the garagedoor is open or shut.
thanks for your help

Do you have any way to control the Doors direction (eG. 1: up, 0: down) or is it just up-stop-down / up-down with the same telegram payload?

Hi,
same Adress for up and down. So its more a “go” adress

So I guess you always send a 1 payload to the address and 0 does nothing?
Then I’d just configure a HA script (from the UI) and use the service knx.send
. You can monitor the states with one or two knx binary sensors.
Maybe you can come up with a more sophisticated solution using a template cover. The knx cover won’t fit because it needs dedicated direction control.
