I’m using the Kodi integration to control Kodi on my HTPC. I have it set up so that when I press Play, my smart lights turn off, Stop they turn on, and Pause they turn on. Everything has been working fine for months but yesterday when I pressed Pause, the movie will pause but the lights don’t come on. Stop and Play still work with the lights. When I opened the HA app on my phone and opened the Kodi controller, if I press Pause on that, the lights do come on. I noticed with the Kodi controller open, and press Pause on the remote, it doesn’t register. I can see that Play and Stop register though. I started playing around with the Pause button on the remote and noticed sometimes if I press it 3 times really fast, it will register in the Kodi controller and turn the lights on. Does anyone know what could be going on?
I have a similar problem. PAUSE/PLAY is sporadically not recognized. PAUSE/STOP works. Which Kodi version do you have? I have 17.6 DS-Player
I’m using 17.6 DSPlayer also. I thought I had a workaround by using MPC-HC as an external player but HA doesn’t work with MPC-HC as far as I can tell.
I will create an issue on Github.
Edit: Just saw that you already did it.
Maybe we can use this as workaround.
I wish I could say I knew what that add-on does, but I have no clue after reading about it.
