Koogeek Bulb

Hi Team,

I have a Koogeek bulb (https://www.koogeek.com/p-lb1.html) which is compatible and working good with Homekit. But it would be great if we could integrate it in Home Assistant so I can use it in my automations.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to add it to Home Assistant? The bulb even has a Homekit code, it does not need an additional Hub.

Thanks in advance!

The only way you can try currently is through Homekit controller…

Could you provide more details @patapalo please? My Home Assistant knowledge is limited… Gracias!

I think you are referening to this: https://www.home-assistant.io/components/homekit_controller/

I will try!

that’s exactly what i meant. I am in the same situation as you but with a Koogek door sensor. I tried this controller but i dont know why it does not work me now. if you make it work let me know. By the way podemos hablar en español tambien.

I have enabled Homekit Controller and HA detects the Koogeek lightbulb now, but when I try to add it, always says that the bulb is alredy linked to another device (Homekit obviously), but even if I remove the light from Homekit, I still get this message. So it does not make sense.

Message: 'Please enter the HomeKit code for your LB1

This accessory is already paired to another device. Please reset the accessory and try again.’

I also did reset it, but still same message.

It works now. When you get the message that the LB1 is already linked to another device, then you remove it from Home app in your iPhone. Then click on Submit button one more time and be patient. The message will be still there, be more patient. Then after some seconds the window will get closed by itself and the LB1 will appear in you Lovelace.

DO NOT RESET THE LAMP to factory defaults even if you get that message.

Now it works like a charm!
