kWh meter shows negative values

Hello,

I have a power plug that has 4 energy sensors. Volts, watts, amps and kWh.
The kWh sensor shows negative numbers, as seen below:

I don’t even understand how this goes down at all, kWh needs to add up all the time right? Does anyone know how this is possible?

For some reason this is the only entity I can add in my Home Assistant Energy tab. Otherwise I would use the watts sensor.

I think I found a workarround by using the watts instead of kwh, and then using the Riemann sum integral.
