With 2024.8, we are moving to Actions! I’ve used generic turn on/off in the past as a catchall as it was easier to build automations as I could simply just turn on different types of entities with this method. While this option is still there, you can’t reach it until you go to Other Actions, then to Home Assistant Core Actions and now you are able to search for it. I started using Labels when they were implemented to streamline this event more. I could simply add labels to new devices and not have to adjust automations at all. What seems to be missing is a simple action of turn Labels On or Off and should be included in the first page when you Add an Action. Or an easier option would just allow the search box to deep dive into everything.
