I downloaded 32bit Raspberry pi 3 Hass.io image, and wrote the image on a 64 gb sd card. It gets stuck at Starting Kernel… and message that no ethernet found. After 3 to 4 attempts of rewriting the image, it did not make any difference. There must be something wrong with the image as I installed the Hassbian 1.4 image and it works with no issue. Hopefully experts can take a look at address the image or share advice to install the Hass.io so that we can be with the latest product.
Are you using a decent power supply? And what brand of SD card is this? (Asking because I have seen users discussing brands recently)
Yes, it is a 2.5 Amp power adapter. It works perfectly fine with no issues on Hassbian image. I am using SANDisk SDHC card.
Hassio seems to be need more power or at least, seems more sensitive to power adapters that “just” qualify. And this release in particular is unchaining the cpu to run higher/faster/hotter, so again I thought of power.
The SD thing isn’t something I’ve read others talk about until recently so I don’t know about that.
I did not that it needed much higher than 2.5 amp with no devices other than ethernet connected and hdmi during install. I even unplugged hdmi to see if it made any difference. Time to find a higher amp power adapter.
