Not refused connections but very slow and laggy. Thought it was a network problem but accessing via a web browser is fast like usual

no, no issues with the companion app any of my android devices so far (at least, on all that I have checked until now)

Thanks it has restarted , but I’m finding hass is stopping, previous version was 8.7 and very stable

Same, very laggy on Android, Samsung S21

Try rebooting your phone or checking for phone software updates.

Hello,
I have the same problem. Did you by any chance change google home settings right before this happened? I changed a lot of things right before this happened so I have no idea what could be the culprit. I would like to know how to erase previous connections completely so that HA can detect new connections from the companion app again. I have deleted the connections in the mobile app integration, but now I just get an error i the companion app;

"Error code: -6
Description: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

I have found although mine seems to be behaving now , its not, I rely on some of my automations on knowing my location updated by my phone, its is not updating location when it should On Sunday , it showed me away, with a 30 mile error, and didn’t show when I was home, so I had to turn the heating on manually, its little subtle things that fail to work

Did you do anything to get past the connection error when using the companion app?

I reinstalled the HA companion app, and set it up again

I’m glad to hear that worked for you :grinning: I did the same, but the issue persists.

Same here on S22 ultra. Very slooooooowwwww

I got the android security update for November last night on my chinese phone (redmi note 10 pro) and that did the trick. I can now log in with the companion app to my smart home again :+1:t2:
