LD2410C - ESP32-C3-DevKitC-02v1.1

LD2410C, all sensors are unavailable. Tried with two ESP32 boards (ESP32_DevKitC_V4 and ESP32-C3-DevkitC-02v1.1), given configuration is for the latter board.

Kindly let me know if anything is missing, I copied the code from ESPHome site. Haven’t connected OUT pin to anything, Vcc to 5V, GND, TX-RX, RX-TX connected.

Based on couple of readings, I tried these to no avail:

  • Changing framework to esp-idf, getting bootloops.
  • Swapping TX-RX port pins in yaml didn’t help.
  • Simplying the configuration to include only binary_sensor
  • Toggling Engineering Mode Switch

Only thing I can suggest is maybe different power? I had to try 3 different ESP32s before I found one that didn’t go into a boot loop with the LD2410 connected to the power pins.

Used GPIO4 for TX and 5 for RX, it started working. Hours spent and lesson learnt time and again is to not use default port of TX/RX.

Enabling engineering mode switch gives g* threshold readings as well. Thanks for the response.
