LED tube / photography lighting that also works with home assistant

I have an elegato key light mini that I use at my desk to help with lighting on calls, and it’s really convenient to be able to control it with home assistant. Elgato only makes panel lights or their small Mini light, though.

I was looking at getting some more lighting for studio photography at home, but I haven’t found any that work with home assistant easily (I did see a custom DMX integration someone wrote but I don’t want to use anything not built-in). A friend recommended tube lights, but the ones I’ve seen are Bluetooth or DMX only.

So: are there any tube lights / panels that also work with Home Assistant over IP/zigbee without needing third-party plugins?

Bought a few rgb tube lights from alibaba, they’re running on beken chip which can be installed with esphome via ota.

Oh wow, so you can just re-flash these to use esphome? Is there a guide anywhere for doing that? Haven’t used esphome before but might just get one to test

You can use cloudcutter for that

Might need to ask which version the tuya firmware is on, some are already patched. The one I got was bk7213t which is exploitable
