Ledvance Bulbs - how to successfully connect them to your Wifi

Hi all,

In case anyone needs to know this, your 2.4G Wifi router password should not contain any special characters - mine contained a ‘$’ and would not connect through the Smart Life App. Once I modified the router Wifi password to numbers and chars only, the bulbs connected immediately.

I see similar issues with Some smart plugs I’ve been playing with.

Good to know. Permanently on my do not reccommend list. I’m not modifying security to allow a bulb.

Would you mind being a little more specific as to what model you’re talking about? :slight_smile: Or does Ledvance only have one Wifi model? Could only find a Zigbee model. :thinking:

So, the Ledvance Bulb model I’ve been using is:

LEDVANCE 7017457
LED SMART + Wifi CLA60 220v TW E27

These are hub-free.

Hi, I have two sets of CLA100, but never got them get connected to Smart Life. How did you? What are the versions of firmware of the bulbs?
