I’ve had the “Works with Nest” API for a while for my thermostat. I never did the migration to new API. So right now thermostat works fine in HA.
Recently I acquired a Nest Hello doorbell camera though, and it’s not working properly. It seems that the new device showed up in HA, but none of the binary sensor events work. I’m guessing it’s a need to authorize the device somewhere in the WWN backend, but it’s in major lockdown now.
Any ideas what to do to get events through? I mostly just want person and package notifications to come through so I can act on these events in HA.
Am I going to have to migrate and do something like badnest?
