Let's encrypt key

Ok i have 3 month old key which is now expired i didn’t know about this until yesterday that i notice my certificate is now expired. In the DuckDNS add-on the logs says this.

INFO: Using main config file /data/workdir/config

Processing xxxxxxx.duckdns.org

  • Checking domain name(s) of existing cert… unchanged.
  • Checking expire date of existing cert…
  • Valid till Jul 5 01:24:48 2018 GMT (Longer than 30 days). Skipping renew!
    Mon May 7 13:51:55 WIB 2018: OK
    118.136.1.191

which means it generated a new certificate long ago automatically but is not being save to my /ssl/ folder. I check that my “fullchain.pem” and “privkey.pem” is 3 months old. Is there a way to retrieve the key and put it manually? Apparently the new generated certificate is not being saved locally.

Can anyone help?

nevermind, did a fresh install and it properly re-generated keys. I hope there is a better way to do it.

– force_renewal

I have a similar dilema…with the certificate saying
Valid till Aug 26 01:24:48 2018 GMT (Longer than 30 days). Skipping renew!

But I am using
sensor:

  • platform: cert_expiry
    host: home-assistant.io
And its reporting 26 days to go…I had this once before and after the 26 days i was locked out…

@tmjpugh where do I insert the line

  • force_renewal

I am using hass:IO. Does it go in the duck dns script. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Add On Duck DNS too many times…As Duck DNS is now reporting I have generated too many certificates and I have to wait 7 days…

I don’t use the plugin
I have script that create Linux container with cerbot installed that runs the client command for renewal.

You add “force_renewal” to command line when run cerbot
