I’ve been using this configuration for a year or so. The green and grey speaker buttons (custom button cards) run scripts that join/unjoin those individual [Sonos] zones from the zone in which the tablet is located. Green indicates joined. If joined, then the volume slider shows up to the right. The buttons below those are “channels,” I suppose. Tapping a button plays a predefined Spotify channel spotify:user:xxxxxxx:playlist:yyyyyyyy. Those are custom mini-media-player cards.
Below that are what TVs are on and what sources they’re showing (more custom button cards). I can turn off the TVs from the dashboard as well (Harmony integration).
My media system and needs have grown and I want to revamp this dashboard. I have a few more media players. I’m also wondering if I can make the channel selection more dynamic based on what’s recently played and getting more play time–more like what shows up in the Spotify app itself. I’d love to see how other HA users are displaying/controlling their multi-zone media players and sources.
