Could we leverage the iOS/Mac apps to pull HomeKit accessories into home assistant? This would allow us to pair accessories with HomeKit for firmware updates, but still allow us to control and run automations in home assistant.
Something like this : HomeControl Menu for HomeKit on the Mac App Store
With its ability to control HomeKit accessories outside of a HomeKit app (terminal, AppleScript etc) only it works with home assistant.
