Hi, I recently installed 2 Leviton lamp modules ordered from Amazon. They were listed as DZPD3-2BW (That’s what the package indicate but on the unit itself it is only identified as DZPD3).
Once configured in HA, they both show as DZPD3-1LW instead of 2BW
Is this a configuration issue or did Amazon sent me 2 DZPD3-1LW ???
I have included a picture, I find it weird that it does not indicates Z-Wave PLUS…
Here is part of the node info.
Leviton DZPD3-1LW Plug-In Dimming Lamp Module
Manufacturer name Leviton
Product name DZPD3-1LW Plug-In Dimming Lamp Module
Is zwave plus false
Capabilities beaming, listening, routing
Application version 0.05
The same thing happened to me, also ordered from Amazon.
According to the manuals the front button of the 1LW is only used to enter programming mode, whereas on the 2BW it also acts as a manual toggle. Mine does not toggle when I tap the front button so I’m pretty sure I received the 1LW. The manual I received in the box also matches the 1LW manual on the Leviton website.
I think we are in the same boat and someone upgraded their module at Amazon’s expanse.
Doing some more research, it seems that the 2BW should state Zwave PLUS instead of Zwave on the back label. The FCC ID also point at the 1LW version.
I have ordered new modules from an other supplier that does not accept returns on open boxes so will see…
I will post an update pretty soon.
