Hi,
I have the setup pictured below for my ducted heat pump. I would like to make it smarter and control it via HA, and maybe change the thermostat to a Nest or something similar. I’m curious if anyone has any experience with this.
- To make it smarter, my local installer said that I can install this Wi-fi Module which means I could control with LG ThinQ. I have also read about different methods to do this, I think with ESPHome devices? Can anyone share info about this?
- Once a wi-fi module installed, I was hoping to use Nest or smarter thermostat, but the installer said this may not work with my setup. Just wondering if anyone has ever had success with this as well.
- Lastly, my main goal of getting a wi-fi module would be to control the system via Home assistant. I use the LG integrations for other LG devices but I want to make sure this hvac system will integrate nicely before I purchase the wi-fi module. Does anyone have experience with this?
