Is anyone out there working on supporting LG HVAC equipment. A lot of their newer units have WiFi adapters but their app and compatibility is terrible.

There already are some relevant threads, I think.
LG, BOSH and SAMSUNG have been leading the way getting home appliances online and therefore smart.
All of them usually have one App to control their products. From Fridges and Washing machines to Air Conditioners. With all the integrations and components so far, I honestly was surprised an integration did not already exists. They are such big brand names and their “smart appliances” have been around for a while now.
Hence the request.
Please Integrate LG SMART THINQ appliances to work with HA…
In case anyone’s interested, I’ve started working on a component for controlling LG HVAC devices (specifically, heat pumps) on their “SmartThinQ” platform. There is no documentation yet, and it’s far from complete, but if anyone’s interested, here’s the relevant repository:
This is based on some painstaking work I did to reverse-engineer the SmartThinQ Android app to work out their API:
I’d be happy to give more details on how this project is going if anyone’s interested in helping out.
